James Clear just dropped a 2-hour masterclass on Huberman's podcast, and one idea stuck with me: the heaviest weight at the gym is the front door.
Not the barbell. The door.
Here are the my 7 favorite insights from the podcast -
The 5-Minute Window — Habits live or die in the tiny window of friction before you start. Master getting started, and everything else follows.
Bad Days Matter More — Everyone shows up when it's easy. The only place you gain an edge is showing up when it's not.
Identity Over Outcomes — Don't ask "what do I want to achieve?" Ask "who do I want to become?" Every action is a vote for that identity.
Environment Is Destiny — Put the guitar in the middle of the room. Delete the apps. Design your space to make the right behavior obvious.
Habits Have Seasons — Your habits will change as your life changes. Consistency isn't rigidity—it's adaptability.
Never Miss Twice — Slip once? Fine. The rule is simple: get back on track immediately. Fast recovery beats perfect streaks.
Input Determines Output — Your thoughts are downstream from what you consume. Better inputs = better ideas. Read before you write.
